1989 - Anatomy of a Cover - Power Pack #45

By June Brigman

  1. I have a greater appreciation of Power Pack as an adult now than as a child who was more interesed in collecting Spider-Man, Captain America, DD, and Uncanny X-Men. They tackled social issues in such a unique way unlike other heroes precisely BECAUSE they were pre-teens, such as bullying, homelessness, and sexual abuse (I remember PP teamed-up with Spidey to address sexual abuse on the back covers across different Marvel comics in the mid 80s.)

  2. Man oh man, did I adore this comic as a kid. Recently rediscovered it and it's stiff fantastic.
