Nostalgically revisiting the comics of the 1980s since 2008.
OMG! Thank you so much! These bring back such wonderful memories of a time when comics were actually GOOD!
Hey djphil9999, you're more than welcome!
Awesome! I remember one with Conan the Barbarian riding the subway. It sticks out in my memory because Kyle gave Conan a big gold hoop earring, and it looked awesome. I started drawing Conan with that earring afterwards.
Hey Jeff, that does ring a bell. I'll keep a look out for it.
I seem to think the Conan gags were drawn by Paul Smith.I recall him doing a few; Conan the Comedian, and one or two others. The Comedian one had Conan accidentally impale a Pict on his own spear or something.I think the subway one was "Conan the Commuter"?These were in Marvel Age? or maybe tossed in the back of a Fanfare issue.Damn.Now that's going to drive me nuts.
Hey ~P~, you're absolutely correct. I managed to find them in the early issues of Marvel and they are done by Paul Smith. I'll get them up shortly.
