Nostalgically revisiting the comics of the 1980s since 2008.
This, to me, is an example of where Milgrom's inks DON'T work for me...leaves Byrne totally unrecognizable!
Mock, I think that the purpose is the art looks like Ditko art...PepQ
Der! Now I get it!
Glad PepQ said it so I didn't have to look like a jerk. ;)Byrne did an amazing job capturing Ditko's look. I mean, really well. I'm assuming this was done because Ditko refused to work with Marvel at the time. Or was otherwise unavailable? HMM!
No jerkiness! I figure my oversight was just because I am so new to this hobby....30 years....ugh! What a maroon!
Wow, I never saw these, thanks for posting them.
I'd rather see Milgrom art than Byrne wih his elongated figures and lookalike faces and stock poses reused over and over again.
Byrne once again showing why he is one of the best comic artists of all time.
I've never seen these covers before - Byrne and Milgrom did a FANTASTIC job of paying homage to the style of Ditko - WOW! :)
