This is a nifty book. It's just like a side story right off the pages of the Dark Phoenix Saga.
I think this is actually earlier than 1981 - possibly 1978 and Byrnes style is still in its early stage (ie his 70s style)
The reprint content is definitely 1970s, but this cover as well as new material was added in 1981. :)
