That original concept sketch for "maskless" Wolvie looks kinda like Orion from New Gods.For better or worse, the "Beast"-ly haircut that Logan eventually DID get is much better.Odd... of all the recent illo's of Wolvie, Byrne's BEST are the ones where Logan is NOT in action, but is instead looking crafty/sneaky.Still, 1970's-1980's Byrne as drawn in the pages of Uncanny X-Men is THE definitive Wolverine for me.
