1983 - Michael Golden's Dr. Strange Portfolio

While Michael Golden only drew one issue of Dr. Strange (#55) and contributed a couple of covers to the series, this portfolio gives us a tantalizing look at what might have been had he become the regular artist.

  1. those are great (the first remind me a lot of marshall rogers)! seems like there are a lot of what-ifs in regards to people who were supposed to work on dr. strange but didn't.

  2. That is some fine art right there! Just 'wow'...

  3. I've had this portfolio for years, and it is amazing to see in person. I had the chance to meet Michael a few years ago at a con in Orlando, and brought this with to have him sign. He graciously signed all plates and the envelope. I , also, commissioned a Dr Strange, which has a place of honor on my wall.
I recently discovered this blog and have loved catching up on your posts. Thanks!

  4. Thanks for the kind words about the blog!

  5. One of my only two Marvel Portfolios form "back in the day" - the other is Paul Gulacy's Black Widow.
