X-Men Special Edition reprinted Giant-Sized X-Men#1 on glossy Baxter paper backed up with a 12-page Kitty Pryde and Illyana short story by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum. The story’s pretty heavy with Claremont’s narration and dialog, but it does provide an interesting tour of Xavier’s school as well as the X-Men’s rooms.
I always loved this issue as it was my first glance at the earlier Uncanny X-Men adventures before Marvel published the Classic X-Men reprint series.
