I remember this Kulan Gath storyline, I thought at the time I had missed an issue when it started in X-Men #190 (although there was a small one page prelude at the end of the previous issue). Not being familiar with Kulan Gath added to the slight confusion and I remember trying (unsuccessfully) to search out an Avengers comic that tied into this X-Men story. Dean
The two Kulan gath X-men issues are among my all-time favorites. RomitaJR's sketchy style was put to its best use, IMO, aa his Viking-Super-Heroes are so cool.

That is the story line that got me hooked on the X-Men.
