Wonder why Dave Cockrum wasn't involved in these designs? Or did he feel he'd been there, done that with the Imperial Guard as the original Marvel JLA team?
The Imperial Guard was more of a riff on the Legion of Super-Heroes than the JLA. I'd like to see more of Grant Morrisson's Retaliators from DC. The Avengers analog he made up for "Multiversity". Better than Keith Giffen's Justifiers.
