This has to be one of my all time fave Uncanny covers and Wolverine image ever. JRJRs apex on his run on the book! Memories! The Hellfire club! Nimrod! Rachel Grey!
You're right, Jason! JRJR really divides fans for some reason, which mystifies me as I think of him as one of the quintessential Marvel artists of the last 30 years. I never read Amazing, as I did solely mutants, but his take on Spidey and the Avengers in the Kulan Gath X-Men two-parter was great.

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing, or perhaps Uncanny, the way one cover can bring back so many memories that are 27 years old!
ReplyDeleteSimply awesome, even all these years later! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey EJK, Romita Jr. between '84-'86 could do no wrong. He was also great on Amazing Spider-Man!

ReplyDeleteNot to mention his subsequent run on Daredevil which was also exceptional...
