Homages to Uncanny X-Men #138
Uncanny X-Men #238 is one of the more memorable covers of the 1980s. After Jean Grey's heartbreaking death, Cyclops needs some time away from the team to pull himself together again.
And here's a handful of homages to that memorable cover...
Seriously, the EIC doesn't get to decide what ads his publisher accepts and where they are placed. Folks would be very surprised at all the things they put on Jim Shooter over which he had no control. I've worked in publishing as an EIC.
The Buffy cover is a great homage.
