And the great mystery. Why wasn't it used as the front cover for Marvel Masterworks Uncanny X-Men volume 6? Arguably the iconic cover from that X-Men Era. Or any other era for the comic.
you missed these 3 covers by Danny Cruz http://www.comiccollectorlive.com/LiveData/StoryArc.aspx?id=b587c5b3-ea79-4d8c-9c42-908314fa5c17 - which i actually helped danny with doing the layers for this.
I always thought a GI Joe version of this cover would be cool. These unfortunately with the Photoshopped backgrounds don't cut it. The Duke/Scarlett one would have been great if the artist drew in the background so it was to scale and looked like part of the picture.
These are so impressive. I absolutely loved the Next Generation cover.
ReplyDeleteDC's New 52! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember a 'Doctor Who' comic cover based on the iconic UXM #141 also.

ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, the choice for Uncanny X-Men #150 for the cover was indeed an odd one.
