Nothing against the new version but I still prefer the original. It had a sense of "realism" and rawness to it. His new stuff is very slick and anime/cartoonish. Which is fine, I still enjoy looking at his new stuff. But Adam's earlier work of crazy detail hatchlines will always be an inspiration to me.
great post! shame you didn't put the original beside it for comparison on how adam's art has evolved. still an amazing piece.
ReplyDeleteArt Adams = Comics God!
ReplyDeleteDidn't think the original needed improvement, and yet, he improves upon it in so many ways. Awesome piece by an Awesome Artist.
