    Ha! As I think I mentioned before, this was around the time Sienk was still a Neal Adams clone, if a good one. Guess Shooter didn't bite, except to throw an annual his way... Sienk would have been a better choice than about three X-Men artists post-Paul Smith

  3. I recall reading an interview with him where he said that he was offered the X-Men, but asked for the New Mutants instead because he wanted to start experimenting with his style and felt he would have more leeway to do that on a lower-profile title.
