Mike Zeck's Spidey covers for Marvel Tales
Mike Zeck recreated a series of covers that featured Punisher's appearances which included various covers from the 1970s and 1980s from Amazing Spider-Man and Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man.
From Estaban as I somehow managed to delete his comment: I've seen some of these before, but not all. I love Zeck's work, particularly with the Punisher, but I have to say I actually prefer some of the original covers that are recreated.
I had gotten hooked on comics long before, but it was Zeck's work - particularly his cover to Captain America Annual #8, then his Punisher that made me pursue illustration and design as a career. His work is golden - but someone else already uses that surname - so I'll rephrase that to awesome ;D.

ReplyDeleteZeck wasn't just an awesome artist ...but a great cover designer! Powerful stuff! I loved his GI Joe covers too!
