I've always viewed the early 90's X-Men as "my" version of the team since it's when I discovered them. I actually saw Chris Claremont at NYCC today, I wonder if he remembers what these images were all about.Ian Millerhttp://universex259.deviantart.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9202849355254208824.post-23924009723503402952013-10-10T22:36:41.422-04:002013-10-10T22:36:41.422-04:00Here's another site with info about this time ...Here's another site with info about this time period: http://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/5737/did-chris-claremont-have-to-change-his-long-term-plans-for-the-x-men-in-the-earl

With there being so many images of odd rosters and differing costumes around this time (1990-91) I think it's safe to say that plans for X-Men #1 and Uncanny #281 were set in stone last minute. It seems like Claremont wanted things to go one way but editorial pushed him in another. It makes sense, seeing as he left 3 issues into the new X-Men series over issues with editorial (Mainly how they sided with Jim Lee on issues since he was the new, young, hot talent).Ian Millerhttp://universex259.deviantart.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9202849355254208824.post-34445936867426736382013-10-10T14:16:56.255-04:002013-10-10T14:16:56.255-04:00Thanks for the help Ian!Thanks for the help Ian!Jason Shayerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12326506125878276176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9202849355254208824.post-51602362130123330042013-10-10T13:59:31.673-04:002013-10-10T13:59:31.673-04:00Actually, in my search I just found this forum thr...Actually, in my search I just found this forum thread about where the images came from: http://marvelmasterworksfansite.yuku.com/topic/16049/Help-me-identify-Jim-Lee-XMen-art#.UlbqlWQa9REIan Millerhttp://universex259.deviantart.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9202849355254208824.post-40495336510862012732013-10-10T13:58:44.416-04:002013-10-10T13:58:44.416-04:00There are a few images floating around like this. ...There are a few images floating around like this.
